Senegal: 3rd edition of PPM-Association of pharmacy vendors of the south zone meeting

On June 8, the 3rd edition of the meeting between Laboratoires PPM and the Association of Pharmacy Sellers of the South Zone of Senegal (AVPZS) was held in Ziguinchor, of which Mr. Saliou gave the following report:

“The 63 participants in this meeting were keen to congratulate the PPM laboratories for their consistency in holding this very important event for improving their knowledge and their know-how at the counter.

The theme chosen was “WELCOMING AND LISTENING AT THE COUNTER”, a theme which allowed for a lot of discussion on the anecdotes of sellers’ experiences as well as providing recommendations and advice on their practices.

The PPM team deployed for this event then presented the analgesic range with KINAL*, KINAL CODEINE*, KINAFON*, B-VIT-FORT*, PANOL* as well as the cold and cough range including RHINEX* and CARBOTOUX*, this which made it possible to respond to objections and expectations in the context of pharmacy advice for most counter agents.

The presentation of KEM Probiotic* as a product of choice for improving the quality of well-being also gave the opportunity to open a broad debate on its use and its advantages as an adjuvant in the treatment of diabetics as well as as well as its contribution to the couple's quality of life and sexual health. Many interventions and clarifications given to the public have made it possible to better understand its preparation for its use and of course the correct recommended dosages. The debates on KEM Probiotics* even continued outside the seminar room to the participants’ lunch table.

Following this last presentation, the words at the end of the day were given, PPM congratulating the AVPZS and the participants for their availability given the distances traveled to come and attend this event. The AVPZS renewed its partnership with PPM by opening a PPM AVPZS WhatsApp group on site, in order to discuss product knowledge and market opportunities with each other or with members of the PPM team.

The closing session of this 3rd edition took place around a lunch as well as a family photo while meeting for the 4th edition in 2025. For this next edition, PPM was asked to organize it over two days in two different locations, thus making it possible to bring together members of the AVPZS as well as those of the Association of Pharmacists of the SOUTH Zone and prescribing health professionals.
